Catenaa, Saturday, April 05, 2025-Lagrange, a decentralized ZK Prover Network, has secured a significant partnership with Matter Labs, agreeing to handle up to 75% of its outsourced proof demand over the next two years. This collaboration marks a major step toward decentralizing the proof generation process for the ZK Stack.
The partnership follows Lagrange’s successful integration of a decentralized version of ZKsync’s ZK Stack prover in January 2025, which demonstrated that decentralized networks could replace centralized entities in proof generation. The agreement will enable ZKsync to scale its operations, ensuring lower gas fees and faster transaction processing for its users.
“This partnership positions ZKsync at the forefront of decentralized rollups, delivering unmatched scalability, security, and cost efficiency for Web3,” said Ismael Hishon-Rezaizadeh, CEO of Lagrange.
Matter Labs’ CTO, Anthony Rose, emphasized that decentralized proving increases resilience and expands the hardware available to generate proofs, offering more customization for developers. The collaboration comes as ZKsync sees significant growth, with nearly 25 ZK stack chains and 1.3 million on-chain transactions in the last month alone.
The partnership also supports rollup-as-a-service platforms like Caldera and AltLayer, which rely on Lagrange’s network for proof generation. Lagrange’s success in scaling decentralized proving paves the way for the next evolution of ZK rollups.
