McAfee Launches AI-Powered Deepfake Detector for Lenovo PCs

SAN JOSE, Calif. Sunday, August 25, 2024 – McAfee, a cybersecurity company, introduced McAfee Deepfake Detector, an AI-powered tool to identify manipulated videos, on select Lenovo AI PCs.

Deepfakes, created using artificial intelligence, are becoming a growing concern. McAfee’s detector, leveraging Lenovo AI PCs, analyzes videos for signs of manipulation.

The software is available for English language detection on select Lenovo AI PCs purchased in the US, UK, and Australia starting August 21st, 2024. Lenovo AI PC customers receive a free 30-day trial, with pricing starting at $9.99 for the first year.

McAfee also launched the McAfee Smart AI Hub, an online resource center with educational content on deepfakes and AI-driven scams. Users can submit suspicious videos for analysis by the Deepfake Detector technology, helping to further educate the public about these types of threats.

The collaboration between Lenovo and McAfee combines expertise to deliver innovative solutions that offer consumers more trust in online content, Lenovo Cloud and Software said in a statement.
