BANGALORE, Wednesday, July 10, 2024 – CoinSwitch, India’s largest crypto investing app, has unveiled the Crypto Rupee Index (CRE8), the country’s first benchmark index to track the performance of the crypto market based on the Indian Rupee. CRE8 monitors eight leading crypto assets, representing over 85% of the market capitalization of cryptos traded in INR.
CRE8, reflecting real trades from the CoinSwitch app, offers a real-time, transparent view of the Indian crypto market.

The index is updated more than 1,400 times daily and will be rebalanced monthly to stay current with market trends. CoinSwitch, valued at $1.9 billion, aims to simplify crypto investments for its 18 million users.
