Grand Caymen, Wednesday, July 10, 2024 – The Aptos Foundation and Alibaba Cloud unveiled Alcove on June 28, 2024, the first joint developer community focused on fostering blockchain programming in the Asia-Pacific region (APAC).
This collaboration between the blockchain startup and the cloud computing giant Alibaba aims to cultivate a skilled developer base and accelerate the growth of Web3 technologies in the region.
Alcove will serve as a hub for developers working with the Move smart contract programming language, known for its security and scalability.
“As the foundation working to expand Aptos’ ecosystem worldwide, we’re committed to creating the best user experiences for the next generation of developers in Japan, APAC, and beyond,” Bashar Lazaar, Head of Grants and Ecosystems at Aptos Foundation, noted. 1
The accuracy of regulatory frameworks implemented in Japan secures its on-chain development, and the collaborated parties are taking this into account to foster Japan’s Web3 landscape via a series of Alcove initiatives and hackathons.
The Move developer meetup, co-hosted by OKCoin Japan and Alibaba Cloud, would aspire to empower builders with the tools and know-how on the use of digital assets within the Japanese market.
The series of hackathons would be hosted by Aptos, aiming at enhancing attendees’ attitudes towards Web3 innovations and offering them the opportunity to learn from top leaders in the industry.
