Zero Energy Storage Tech Enables Immortal Blockchains

Thursday, July 25, 2024 – The bygone week was abuzz with the term “Immortal Blockchain” following a post in the Binance Square.

Probably this was inspired by the news that on June 19, CATL introduced TENER, the first mass-producible energy storage system with zero degradation for the initial five years, at EES Europe 2024.

“In the event of a local power outage or server failure, decentralized blockchains remain unaffected as long as operational nodes exist elsewhere, the post in Binance Square said.

“Centralized Servers Function if They Have Access to Power. In contrast, centralized servers can only function as long as they have access to power,” it said.

The post spurred a slurry of reports on crypt related websites on the concept.

Utilizing advanced bionic SEI and self-assembling electrolyte technologies, TENER ensures stability and safety by addressing lithium metal reactivity and thermal runaway risks.

Innovative storage solutions like DNA storage and Ceramic Nano Memory offer the potential to preserve critical data indefinitely. These technologies could theoretically store blockchain data and instructions to revive it even after millennia.

These decentralized systems enhance data security and resilience compared to centralized servers that need continuous power.

In the event of global catastrophes like an electromagnetic pulse, centralized systems would fail, but decentralized blockchains could remain unaffected as long as some nodes stay operational.
