Catenaa, Wednesday, March 26, 2025 –YZi Labs has invested in Plume Network, a blockchain specifically designed for Real World Assets (RWAs), marking a significant step in the growth of the Real World Asset Finance (RWAfi) ecosystem. Plume, an EVM-compatible blockchain, is built to onboard a wide range of RWAs and provide them with utility through a composable RWAfi ecosystem, integrating both decentralized finance (DeFi) and traditional finance.
The investment comes after Plume’s testnet success, which saw over 18 million wallets and partnerships with over 180 protocols. The platform enables users to tokenize a variety of assets, from traditional financial instruments to carbon credits and collectibles, allowing for activities like lending, borrowing, and speculation.
Plume aims to bridge the gap between crypto-native users and institutions, unlocking new capital and facilitating adoption. The platform’s seamless integration into the crypto ecosystem allows RWAs to be interacted with just like other digital assets.
Chris Yin, CEO and co-founder of Plume, emphasized that while demand for on-chain RWAs has been high, existing infrastructure has struggled to meet these needs. Plume’s infrastructure addresses this gap, empowering asset issuers to become Web3 builders by integrating seamlessly into the Plume network.
With YZi Labs’ support, Plume is set to scale its platform, expand its presence in emerging markets, and onboard additional financial institutions.
