Catenaa, Thursday, December 19, 2024 – WhiteBIT had become the first cryptocurrency exchange to secure Level 3 certification under the Cryptocurrency Security Standard (CCSS) last week.
This achievement marks the highest level of security recognition in the industry.
The CCSS, developed by the CryptoCurrency Certification Consortium (C4), provides a rigorous security framework tailored for cryptocurrency platforms.
Level 3 certification demands advanced measures such as multi-signature wallets, access controls, disaster recovery protocols, and extensive penetration testing.
WhiteBIT’s certification process, led by cybersecurity firm Hacken, included a 2.5-month audit involving detailed inspections, interviews, and artifact reviews.
The benefits of CCSS certification include robust protections for user funds, reduced risks of unauthorized access, and enhanced preparedness for emergencies.
Earlier this year, WhiteBIT also achieved the highest level of PCI DSS certification, further solidifying its reputation as a security leader.
Founded in 2018, WhiteBIT is one of Europe’s largest centralized crypto exchanges, offering over 600 trading pairs and partnerships with major entities like FC Barcelona and VISA. Its latest milestone aligns with its mission to drive blockchain adoption through trust and transparency.
