Catenaa, Friday, January 31, 2025 – Sony Block Solutions Labs (Sony BSL) has launched “Soneium Conquest,” a four-week campaign designed to introduce users to its blockchain network, Soneium.

Soneium Conquest was officially launched on January 28, 2025 and is expected to run through late February.

The initiative will feature interactive learning modules, challenges, and experiences aimed at fostering engagement with Web3 technologies.

The campaign, hosted on the Galxe platform, will focus on creativity, community engagement, blockchain gaming, and immersive experiences.

Soneium, an Ethereum Layer-2 solution built on the Optimism Foundation’s OP Stack, seeks to create a more inclusive and creator-friendly blockchain ecosystem.

Sony BSL integrated the network with its NFT-based Fan Marketing Platform and Soneium Spark, enabling deeper connections between fans, developers, and entertainment brands.

Sony has partnered with Sony Pictures, Sony Music, and Sony Music Publishing to offer NFT-powered content, granting fans exclusive access to their favorite artists and media.

The mainnet launch on January 14 sparked mixed reactions. While some praised its potential, others raised concerns over Sony’s policy of blacklisting contract addresses suspected of intellectual property (IP) violations.

Some users alleged financial losses due to frozen contracts. Sony BSL clarified that only two contracts were restricted, no funds were frozen, and affected users could appeal the decisions.
