San Francisco, Monday, November 06: Elon Musk’s artificial intelligence company, xAI, has unveiled its first AI model, on Friday, November 4, 2023. 1
Grok is a Large Language Model with real-time access to information through xAI’s social media platform, X (formerly Twitter), providing it with a unique edge over other language models.
Musk expressed his admiration for Grok’s wit and sarcasm, suggesting that it is one of the best AI models currently available. It is also notable that Musk was one of the tech leaders who had been cautioning against developing AI during the past.
“In some important respects, it is currently one of the best,” Musk stated on his X social media platform.2
Currently, Grok’s accessibility is limited to a select group of users, but Musk intends to expand its availability to X Premium+ subscribers in the future. As it remains under development, it has already demonstrated its ability to perform a variety of tasks, including generating text, translating languages, crafting different kinds of content, and providing informative answers to questions.
