Catenaa, Saturday, March 29, 2025-London-based fintech giant Revolut has launched a mobile app for its crypto exchange, Revolut X, enabling users in the UK and European Economic Area (EEA) to trade over 400 crypto pairs, the company announced Tuesday.
The move expands Revolut X beyond its initial professional trader base, allowing any user with a Revolut account in these regions to access the platform. The firm, valued at $45 billion, first launched the standalone exchange in November 2024.
Leonid Bashlykov, Revolut’s head of crypto products, described the app as a “simple yet powerful experience” designed for both beginners and experienced traders, with strong security measures.
Revolut, which began offering crypto services in 2017, has steadily expanded its digital asset offerings, including staking and crypto-to-fiat payment options.
With regulatory approval under the Markets in Crypto-Assets Regulation (MiCA), Revolut is competing with established players like Coinbase and Crypto.com to strengthen its European presence. Crypto director Emil Urmanshin said the company has “big ambitions” for the exchange’s growth.
