Polymarket Eyes $10B Valuation With US Relaunch Plans

Catenaa, Tuesday, September 16, 2025- Blockchain prediction platform Polymarket is preparing a return to the United States as it targets a potential $10 billion valuation, according to a report published by Business Insider.

The company, which gained prominence for accurately forecasting President Donald Trump’s 2024 election win, had been forced to exit the US in 2022 following a settlement with the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC).

Polymarket’s comeback is enabled by its acquisition of Florida-based derivatives exchange QCX.

Last month, QCX received a no-action letter from the CFTC, easing regulatory requirements and paving the way for operations in the US

CEO Shayne Coplan said the move effectively provides clearance for a relaunch. The firm is reportedly in talks to raise fresh capital, potentially tripling its last known $1 billion valuation.

The prediction market landscape is heating up with rival Kalshi, which is valued at an estimated $5 billion. Kalshi gained an edge after a 2024 court ruling allowed it to offer political contracts, a decision the CFTC stopped contesting.

The company has since processed $441 million in volume since the start of the NFL season, though it faces ongoing legal battles with state gaming regulators in Nevada and New Jersey.

Both platforms are competing for dominance in a sector where user activity declined after the 2024 election but is now showing renewed momentum.

Analysts see Polymarket’s relaunch as a significant milestone that could reshape the future of regulated prediction markets in the US, with billions in growth potential at stake.
