Catenaa, Sunday, June 29, 2025- Crypto venture capital firm Paradigm has led a $15 million Series A investment in Global Token Exchange (GTE), a decentralized exchange startup aiming to match the speed and efficiency of top centralized platforms like Binance and Coinbase.

GTE claims its trading engine, built entirely on the Ethereum-compatible MegaETH blockchain, delivers the same low latency as major exchanges without compromising decentralization.

The startup uses a central limit order book (CLOB) to execute trades, diverging from the algorithmic liquidity pools used by most decentralized exchanges.

Co-founder Enzo Coglitore said GTE was designed to eliminate the “blind trust” in centralized platforms and the inefficiencies of legacy blockchain architecture. The platform reportedly attracted over 700,000 users to its testnet earlier this year.

GTE’s founders aim to appeal to retail traders seeking seamless 24/7 trading and to liquidity providers wary of being undercut by bots or toxic order flows. Co-founder Matteo Lunghi said the exchange would enable more accurate price discovery while protecting participants’ capital.

The startup previously raised $10 million across three funding rounds, including $1.5 million in a pre-seed, $7 million in seed funding, and $2.5 million in a community-driven sale via Echo.

Paradigm partners Charlie Noyes and Caitlin Pintavorn said GTE has the ideal combination of technical innovation and team execution to compete with top-tier centralized and decentralized platforms.

The latest funding is expected to accelerate GTE’s rollout as it looks to redefine speed and functionality in decentralized finance.
