SEOUL, South Korea, Thursday, September 5, 2024- Kaia, a Layer-1 blockchain developed by Kakao and LINE, two leading messenger apps in Asia, on August 29, officially launched its mainnet.

Kaia aims to address challenges in the web3 user experience and distribution through its deep integration with Kakao and LINE messaging apps. The platform seeks to establish an ecosystem supporting decentralized finance (DeFi), gaming, real-world assets, and web3-based messenger apps.

To attract developers, Kaia offers the NEXT WEB software development kit (SDK), enabling builders to create mini dApps on LINE messenger. Kaia Wave, a builder support program, provides eligible teams with marketing, tech, and business support worth $1.2 million per team, along with other benefits.
