New York, Friday, September 06, 2024- Apple’s highly anticipated iPhone 16 event is set for Sunday September 9, where the tech giant is expected to unveil its latest smartphone lineup, as well as iOS 18 and Apple Intelligence.
The event, themed “It’s Glowtime,” will be livestreamed at 10 a.m. PT on Apple’s website and YouTube.
At the heart of the event is Apple Intelligence, a suite of AI-powered features such as an upgraded Siri and ChatGPT integration.
The iPhone 16 is expected to ship with these AI enhancements, making it the first to come with iOS 18 out of the box. iOS 18 will introduce customizable home screens, an updated Control Center, and support for RCS messaging.
On the hardware side, iPhone 16 Pro models could feature larger image sensors and new swipe-based camera buttons, potentially allowing users to zoom with gestures.
A 5x optical zoom may be added to the base Pro model. The ultrawide camera is also rumored to see a significant upgrade, moving from 12MP to 48MP.
Apple is also expected to reveal the Apple Watch X, marking the tenth generation of the wearable.
This iteration could feature a thinner design, larger screen options, and new health-tracking capabilities like blood pressure monitoring.
AirPods may also receive a redesign with USB-C support and Active Noise Cancellation, rumors say.
