New York, Wednesday, September 25, 2024 –Hut 8 Corp., a leading Bitcoin miner, has announced an expanded partnership with Bitmain Technologies through the launch of the U3S21EXPH, a next-generation ASIC miner.

The model, set to deploy in Q2 2025, aims to boost Hut 8’s hash rate by 80%, increasing from 18.5 EH/s to 33.5 EH/s through a 15 exahash per second hosting agreement.

The U3S21EXPH will integrate advanced DLC cooling technology, bridging Bitcoin mining and AI data center infrastructures.

Hut 8 CEO Asher Genoot emphasized the new miner’s rack-ready design, enabling scalable data center expansion. This move highlights a strategic focus on efficiency as the Bitcoin network faces increasing challenges post-halving.

Irene Gao, Bitmain’s VP of Mining, praised Hut 8’s technical expertise and innovation, calling the partnership a natural evolution.

Despite revenue drops in the Bitcoin mining industry, Hut 8’s stock rose 7% following the announcement. The company is focused on navigating industry difficulties by enhancing efficiency and making strategic investments.
