Humanity Protocol Launches $1.1B Mainnet for Privacy-First Web3 Identity

In Summary

  • Humanity Protocol launches $1.1B mainnet with zkTLS tech
  • Enables privacy-first identity verification without biometric data
  • Supports airline, financial, educational credentials at launch
  • Plans include decentralized governance and Sybil-resistant platforms

Catenaa, Tuesday, September 02, 2025- Humanity Protocol has launched its mainnet to bridge Web2 credentials with decentralized Web3 services using zero-knowledge transport layer security (zkTLS), a report said.

Humanity Protocol is Hong Kong-based blockchain startup valued at $1.1 .

It said it would also has a privacy-focused identity verification without sharing sensitive data.

The new system allows users to prove credentials such as airline loyalty, financial status, or educational qualifications without revealing the underlying documents.

Unlike biometric-based identity platforms like Worldcoin, Humanity Protocol’s approach keeps personal data secure within the user’s browser, avoiding privacy concerns.

Initially, “Human ID” supports airline, hotel, financial, and educational credentials, offering users a portable reputation layer across Web2 and Web3 applications. Future plans include on-chain ticketing, decentralized governance, and Sybil-resistant platforms that prevent fake identities.

Founder and CEO Terence Kwok said the mainnet launch turns decentralized identity into practical infrastructure, allowing identity confirmation without exposing personal information.

The protocol’s cryptographic proofs enable developers to build reputation-based marketplaces and social platforms while safeguarding privacy.

Humanity Protocol raised $20 million in a recent funding round led by Jump Crypto and Pantera Capital, boosting its valuation to $1.1 billion.

The network competes with other “proof-of-human” projects, positioning itself as a more privacy-conscious alternative.
