Catenaa, Saturday, June 07, 2025- Policymakers, business executives and tech entrepreneurs will gather in Dalian, China, from June 25 to 27 for the World Economic Forum’s Annual Meeting of the New Champions 2024 (AMNC24).1
The event, known as AMNC24, will spotlight “Entrepreneurship in the Age of AI” as one of its central themes amid growing global interest in the transformative power of generative technologies.
The three-day summit will feature voices from governments, startups, and civil society as they address AI’s impact on productivity, labor, sustainability, and decision-making.
Notable sessions will discuss AI agents, causal intelligence, and the tension between autonomy and human oversight in future workforces.
Executives from companies like causaLens, Moonhub, and BrainBox AI will join academics and ministers from countries including Rwanda, Jordan and Malaysia to debate the responsible adoption of artificial intelligence across sectors.
In one panel, speakers described today’s AI as “narrow intelligence,” with future models expected to move toward more complex, decision-capable systems. Participants also warned of challenges including energy consumption, regulatory hurdles, and the digital divide, particularly in the developing world. Concerns around trust, misinformation and job displacement also surfaced, highlighting the need for ethical guardrails and skill-building initiatives.
The forum will also explore breakthroughs in neuromorphic computing, semiconductor development, and biotechnology, all within the broader question of how governments can align innovation with sustainable growth. The AMNC24 is positioned to shape global discourse on AI’s economic and societal roles.
