The festival launches June 30 in partnership with leading Web3 projects including The Sandbox, Aavegotchi, Unstoppable Domains, Song a Day, and Vision.io.
GBM introduces a “Win-Win” auction model that rewards all bidders, not just winners. Outbid participants receive their full bid back plus an incentive, promoting fairness and eliminating traditional auction friction like sniping.
This model encourages active participation and accurate price discovery while enhancing user engagement.
Unstoppable Domains’ COO Sandy Carter praised the model for making Web3 domain auctions more accessible, while The Sandbox’s co-founder Sébastien Borget highlighted increased excitement and community involvement in their virtual land sales using GBM auctions.
The Auction Festival runs through early September, featuring live auctions, community quests, tiered rewards, giveaways, and competitions. Participants earn points by bidding, selling, and completing quests, which can lead to shares in the upcoming GBM token launch.
The event aims to set a new standard for transparent, engaging, and equitable price discovery in the Web3 ecosystem.
