Catenaa, Thursday, May 1, 2025-FLock.io, a decentralized AI training platform, announced Thursday a collaboration with Alibaba Cloud to develop advanced artificial intelligence models.

The partnership will use Alibaba Cloud’s Qwen, a leading large language model, along with cloud infrastructure to create both domain-specific and general-purpose AI systems. The agreement includes not only technical integration but also joint research initiatives exploring centralized and decentralized AI applications.

“Partnering with Alibaba Cloud’s Qwen represents a transformative step for FLock.io,” said Jiahao Sun, founder and CEO of FLock.io. “This collaboration symbolizes blockchain and decentralized AI technology gaining product-market fit within traditional AI sectors.”

Qwen, launched in 2023, has seen adoption across over 290,000 enterprises globally, including sectors such as automotive, healthcare, finance, and gaming. It is accessible via Alibaba Cloud’s Model Studio platform.

FLock.io, blending federated learning with blockchain, allows communities to securely train and own AI models without centralizing sensitive data. Its ecosystem includes AI Arena for competitive model training, the FL Alliance collaboration network, and Moonbase, a decentralized platform for hosting and refining models.

Both companies plan to leverage their collective resources to push AI innovation forward, aiming to impact multiple industries worldwide.
