Catenaa, Sunday, May 04, 2025-At Paris Blockchain Week 2025, Bahamut introduced its groundbreaking PoSA (Proof-of-Stake and Activity) consensus model, marking a significant evolution in blockchain technology.

The announcement, made on April 7, unveiled a consensus mechanism that rewards validators based on the activity level of their deployed smart contracts, making Bahamut’s blockchain more dynamic and decentralized.

As an official partner of the Paris Blockchain Week Hackathon, Bahamut led a dedicated track focused on the PoSA consensus, attracting over 300 developers and blockchain enthusiasts.

Eleven teams participated, building decentralized applications on the Bahamut chain. The event concluded with a €10,000 prize pool, with “Looser Bracket” taking first place for their “Gaming Meets Liquidity” project.

Fastex, a leading player in the Web3 space, also showcased its latest offerings, including the custodial Web3 wallet YoWallet and a new DeFi lending protocol, PercentMe, built on Bahamut.

At the “Future Confidence Conference,” Fastex detailed its product roadmap and discussed future innovations in Web3.

On April 9, Fastex’s Web3 Program Lead, Pavel Aramyan, delivered a keynote on the PoSA merge, officially activating the upgraded consensus on Bahamut. This merge aims to incentivize validators to maintain active smart contracts, thus fostering greater network participation and rewards.

The event week culminated in the PBW Afterparty at La Machine du Moulin Rouge, a highlight for 1,000+ attendees in Paris.
