Catenaa, Friday, August 08, 2025- Ethereum’s onchain activity surged last month as transaction volume approached $240 billion, marking a 70% increase from June and the highest monthly figure since December 2021.

The network processed 46.67 million transactions in July, setting a new all-time monthly record and surpassing the previous high from May 2021 by 3.6%.

Ethereum’s 7-day moving average of daily transactions nearly matched the all-time peak at 1.64 million, just shy of 1.66 million recorded in May 2021.

Active addresses on the Ethereum network also climbed to 17.55 million last month, the highest number since May 2021, signaling robust user engagement.

The spike in network activity coincides with Ethereum’s price reaching multi-year highs, closing July at about $3,700 per ETH.

These developments highlight renewed interest and growing momentum for Ethereum amid broader adoption and innovation in the decentralized finance and blockchain ecosystem.
