Catenaa, Sunday, May 11, 2025-May 2025 brings a diverse lineup of game releases, led by the much-anticipated ‘Doom: The Dark Ages’ and ‘Elden Ring: Nightreign’, offering players a mix of brutal action, innovative art, and tactical strategy.
The biggest title, ‘Doom: The Dark Ages’, arrives May 15 on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S.
Set between ‘Doom 64’ and ‘Doom (2016)’, it blends medieval brutality with futuristic firepower. Players wield a spinning-blade shield, skull-shooting guns, and a massive mace to wreak havoc in a demon-infested world.
FromSoftware’s ‘Elden Ring: Nightreign’ follows on May 30. The three-player co-op roguelike takes players through a time-based hunt across three in-game days. Available across consoles and PC, the game introduces a new format while retaining FromSoftware’s signature depth and style.
Art lovers can look forward to ‘The Midnight Walk’, launching May 8 for PC and PS5. Built entirely from hand-modeled clay, the game delivers a haunting, stop-motion aesthetic reminiscent of ‘The Nightmare Before Christmas’.
Also releasing May 8, ‘Revenge of the Savage Planet’ brings satirical sci-fi action and cross-platform co-op to PlayStation, Xbox, and PC. On May 22, ‘TMNT: Tactical Takedown’ debuts on PC, offering fans a strategy spin on the iconic franchise.
Other notable launches include a remaster of ‘Onimusha 2: Samurai’s Destiny’ on May 28, and ‘To a T’, a quirky narrative game from ‘Katamari Damacy’ creator Keita Takahashi, which released earlier on April 8.
