Many crypto enthusiasts and investors expected crypto would be one of the highlight points in the Trump-Biden debate.

The June 27 debate, hosted by CNN, covered topics including the economy, abortion rights, immigration, and foreign policy and briefly touched on the candidates’ ages.

Despite three crypto-backed super PACs raising $202.8 million and spending $93.6 million to influence the 2024 elections, crypto was not mentioned.

If elected, Trump promised to end Biden’s “war on crypto” and engage with Bitcoin miners. However, industry opinions on Biden’s stance vary.

According to recent Gallup polls, the top issues for American voters are the economy, inflation, poor governance, and immigration, rather than cryptocurrency.

Pro-crypto independent candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. did not meet CNN’s requirements to appear in the debate and held an alternative event instead.

In national polling, Trump leads Biden by a narrow margin. The second debate is set for Sept. 10, and the presidential election is on Nov. 5.
