Crypto Exchange Luno Now Receives License From South Africa featured

London, Thursday, May 23, 2024 – Luno crypto platform said it had received regulatory approval from the South African Financial Services Conduct Authority as the Financial Services Provider license.

Luno PTY LTD, with its ten years of service to the market, was enlisted in FSCA’s register of authorized entities on April 11, marking a milestone within the South African crypto space. 1

355 applications were received by FSCA; among them, 59 were approved, and Luno was among the first group of approved firms, whereas 262 applications were pending approval.

The Crypto Assets Regulatory Working Group has implemented several phases based on crypto regulations prior to the issuing of the license, according to a report by Techpoint. 2

The award would benefit the crypto space and South African crypto enthusiasts, said the country manager for Luno South Africa, Christo de Wit, emphasizing that Luno is set to feature new updates, inviting the desired clients for its biggest offerings. 3
