The outage, caused by a defect in a recent content update, resulted in blue screen errors for affected Windows hosts.
CrowdStrike emphasizes that the issue was not a cyberattack and has been resolved.
The statement by CrowdStrike says that a fix has been deployed, and the problematic content update has been reverted.
“No action is required for unaffected Windows systems, including those brought online or installed after July 19th, 5:27 UTC,” it says.
CrowdStrike’s website offers various resources to help users determine if their systems were impacted and guide them through the remediation process. These resources include:
