Catenaa, Friday, April 04, 2025-Constellation Network, a blockchain infrastructure company validated by the US Department of Defense, has launched Digital Evidence, a tamper-proof compliance tool designed for law enforcement and emergency services, the company announced Tuesday.
The technology enables agencies to collect and securely store critical data, ensuring authenticity for legal and compliance purposes. Constellation’s move follows six years of work with the Defense Department on its Iron SPIDR project, which focused on securing mission-critical communications.
Digital Evidence can gather and preserve data from police cars, fire trucks and EMS vehicles, creating immutable records admissible in court. The system also integrates with Panasonic’s TOUGHBOOK devices, expanding its reach among public-sector clients.
The company said compliance-related legal defenses cost the public sector over $3.6 billion annually. By leveraging blockchain to automate evidentiary reporting, Constellation aims to reduce costs and improve transparency.
“There is a massive sense of urgency from both the private and public sectors to have more transparency across technologies, organizations and agencies,” said Constellation CEO Ben Jorgensen.
Panasonic Market Solutions Director Aidan Clifford called the partnership an opportunity to enhance efficiency for customers using connected devices.
The firm plans to expand Digital Evidence’s capabilities through integrations with artificial intelligence, business intelligence tools and existing databases, aiming to provide a “Smart Checkmark” certification for data integrity.
