London, Thursday, June 6, 2024 β A promotional seminar targeting the second China International Supply Chain Expo (CISCE) was held on May 24, 2024, in London.1
Over 150 representatives from UK and Chinese firms, enterprises, and media companies have participated in the seminar.
The second CISCE will be held in Beijing from November 26 to 30 this year, and Ren Hongbin noted that approximately 400 Chinese and foreign companies have enrolled for the event so far.
Ren Hongbin, the Chairman of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT); Zheng Zeguang, China’s ambassador to the UK; Sir Sherard Cowper-Coles, Chairman of the China-Britain Business Council; and Jack Perry, Chairman of the 48 Group Club in the UK, were the key speakers at the seminar.
The development of the key areas of the green economy, digital technology, and AI were focused on in the seminar.
Since China and the UK’s collaboration at the initial CISCE was successful, Ren Hongbin invited the UK to join the second CISCE, overlooking the sectors of green economy and digital technology, to retain the firm condition of the supply chain between the two countries.2
βIt is a shared responsibility of China and the UK to check for the requirements for a fortified global supply chain, as global community growth would result in improving the economic landscape of both countries,β declared Zheng Zeguang.2
China International Exhibition Center Group, the CISCE organizer, inked a MOU with the UK Association for Renewable Energy and Clean Technology, as well as exhibitor agreements and letters of intent with several UK companies, according to the source.
