Bondex Raises $10M in Funding Led by Animoca Brands

SAN FRANCISCO, Tuesday, July 09, 2024 – Web3 recruiting network Bondex announced earlier this week that it has raised $10 million across multiple funding rounds.

Venture capitalist firms Animoca Brands, Morningstar, and Chainlink all participated in the funding, according to a press release.

The company aims to transform recruitment within the decentralized web space by “shifting incentives and demand away from middlemen to reward and empower users,” Bondex stated in a press release. Their goal is to create a “professional networking model” where talent “participates in the upside and economics of the social network they are bringing value to.”

Bondex’s approach “gamifies” recruitment for both companies and job seekers. The platform offers a token or USD bounty of up to $10,000 for successful hires, incentivizing participation. Notably, companies like Binance, Chainlink, and Blockchain.com reportedly already utilize Bondex for recruitment.

“Bondex is changing the game for future recruitment through Web3, enabling blockchain technology and the power of referrals to innovate against legacy platforms out there,” said Yat Sui, executive chairman at Animoca Brands.

The new capital will be used to enhance the platform and integrate it with both Web3 and Web2 ecosystems, according to Bondex CEO Ignacio Palomera. This integration aims to “take on legacy recruitment platforms with a twist of blockchain.”

This funding announcement comes amidst a period of growth for the Web3 sector. As blockchain technology adoption increases across various industries, the demand for skilled professionals in this field is rising. Bondex aims to address this need by providing a dedicated platform for Web3 talent acquisition.

While specific details regarding Bondex’s services and the mechanics of their “gamified” recruitment process were not included in the press release, further information is likely available on the company’s website.
