Singapore, Wednesday, August 28, 2024- Bitget has announced that it had introduced a new feature that allows users to create and access their crypto wallets using Telegram accounts.
This update, utilizing keyless MPC technology, eliminates the need for users to manage private keys, enhancing both security and user experience.
This comes in the aftermath of arrest of Telegram CEO Pavel Durov in France.
Telegram, a popular cloud-based messaging app known for its privacy features, has over 950 million active users worldwide. By integrating with Telegram, Bitget aims to make its crypto wallet more accessible to a wider audience.
This latest move follows Bitget’s efforts to simplify wallet creation. In October 2023, the exchange launched a keyless MPC wallet that allows users to create wallets using email, Google, or Apple IDs.
The arrest of Telegram founder Pavel Durov in France has sparked a debate about free speech and online privacy. While the reasons for Durov’s arrest remain unclear, his detention has drawn attention to the potential risks faced by tech entrepreneurs operating in the digital age.
