Catenaa, Wednesday, July 16, 2025- The pseudonymous creator of Bitcoin, Satoshi Nakamoto, is now the 11th richest person in the world, with an estimated net worth exceeding $131 billion, following Bitcoin’s surge past $120,000 over the weekend.
Blockchain analytics firm Arkham reported that Nakamoto is believed to hold roughly 1.096 million BTC, spread across thousands of wallets untouched since Bitcoin’s inception.
The holdings place him just ahead of Dell Technologies CEO Michael Dell, whose estimated wealth stands at $125.1 billion.
Despite the valuation, Nakamoto is absent from Forbes’ billionaire list, which only considers publicly disclosed assets such as stock holdings and real estate. Nakamoto’s fortune is based solely on cryptocurrency, making it difficult to independently verify or assess for traditional wealth rankings.
Bitcoin’s rally to a record high was confirmed by Nansen data early Monday. Yet, Nakamoto still trails Elon Musk, who tops Forbes’ list with a net worth of over $404 billion. Oracle co-founder Larry Ellison and Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg follow, each with estimated fortunes of $274 billion.
Analysts say Nakamoto could ascend the rankings further if Bitcoin continues its current trajectory.
Market observers including Bitwise and BitMEX predict Bitcoin could rise to $200,000 or even $250,000 within months, potentially pushing Nakamoto into the top tier of global wealth.
Nakamoto’s holdings surpass all known Bitcoin investors and institutions, including the Winklevoss twins, Tim Draper, and Michael Saylor.
