Catenaa, Thursday, August 07, 2025-Cathie Wood’s Ark Invest purchased nearly $47 million in crypto-related stocks Friday, adding positions in Coinbase and Ethereum treasury firm BitMine Immersion Technologies across three funds, according to the firm’s latest trading disclosure.
Ark invested about $29.8 million in Coinbase shares, with its flagship ARKK fund accounting for $22.6 million. Coinbase shares fell 16.7% Friday following weaker-than-expected quarterly earnings, prompting Ark to buy the dip.
The firm also added roughly $17 million in BitMine shares, with ARKK again leading the purchases at $11.6 million. BitMine is the largest Ethereum treasury company, holding 625,000 ETH and aiming to acquire and stake 5% of the cryptocurrency’s supply.
The latest move follows heavy buying earlier in the week, when Ark acquired $20 million in BitMine shares Monday and $15.3 million Tuesday. Over five trading days, the company has spent about $52.4 million on BitMine, bringing its total holdings to $188 million across its funds.
Despite Ark’s accumulation, both stocks fell Friday. Coinbase closed sharply lower, and BitMine dropped 8.6% to $31.68, extending its monthly loss to over 31%, according to market data.
