Catenaa, Tuesday, April 15, 2025-Apollo Global Management, a leading alternative asset management firm, has made a strategic investment in Plume Network, a company specializing in the tokenization of real-world assets (RWAs). The investment, valued at over seven figures, was announced Tuesday and will support Plume’s efforts to expand its ecosystem. Plume’s testnet currently boasts over 18 million wallets, reflecting growing interest in its platform.
Plume is an Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM)-compatible Layer 2 network focused on bringing real-world assets such as solar assets, equities, real estate, and luxury goods onto the blockchain. This strategic investment follows a $10 million seed funding round led by Haun Ventures last year and an undisclosed investment from YZi Labs in March 2025. With the support of Apollo, Plume plans to further develop its infrastructure and advance its mission to make RWAs accessible to digital asset investors.
Christine Moy, partner and head of digital assets at Apollo, highlighted that the investment aligns with the firm’s focus on broadening access to institutional-quality products. As digital assets continue to evolve, Plume represents an innovative infrastructure that could reshape investor engagement and financial solutions. Plume’s mainnet is expected to launch in the coming weeks, offering institutional investors the ability to tokenize and trade a variety of physical and financial assets.
The total value locked (TVL) in RWA protocols recently exceeded $10 billion, signaling the growing demand for tokenized assets. Plume aims to bridge the gap between the digital and traditional financial sectors by creating a seamless environment for asset issuers to connect with liquidity and distribution channels.
