Worldcoin, an eye-scanning crypto project, announces its own blockchain

San Francisco, Wednesday, May 1, 2024 – Worldcoin, the eye-scanning crypto project founded by Sam Altman of OpenAI, initiated the newest blockchain network, World Chain, marking the latest milestone on April 17, 2024. ¹

The latest arrival of the ETH layer 2 blockchain, World Chain, to the platform will bind hands with the Worldcoin user base to facilitate verified ID users to make cheap transactions powered by bots within the blockchain, according to a spokesperson. ¹

Worldcoin has moved from Optimism blockchain system to World Chain to execute its operations, It expects to expand its user base and is inviting new users to join the new venture.

World App would be the operational network of World Chain, powered by the superchain technology that ensures horizontal scaling across the connected blockchains.

Ether will be the currency that can be utilized on the World Chain. Worldcoin token grants will be offered to the usual users.
