Tuesday, September 3, 2024 – Leading bitcoin miner Bitfarms said on August 27 that it had acquired a data center in Sharon, Pennsylvania.

The large-scale site located in the PJM interconnection market would enhance Bitfarms services with a low-cost and flexible power supply.

The footprint would drive the company’s reputation for bitcoin mining and HPC/AI tapping into a new level.

The new site becomes the first mega site of Bitfarms acquired within the US with access up to 120 megawatts.

Bitfarms says it has completed the 110-megawatt solar project.

The company also plans to activate 30 megawatts by the end of the year and could add another 10 megawatts by 2025, bringing the total site capacity to 120 megawatts.
