REDMOND, Wash. Wednesday, July 31, 2024- Microsoft Corp. yesterday announced robust financial results for the fourth quarter of fiscal year 2024, with significant contributions from its cloud services.

The company reported revenue of $64.7 billion, a 15% increase compared to the same period last year.
Operating income also grew by 15%, reaching $27.9 billion, while net income rose by 10% to $22 billion. Diluted earnings per share were $2.95, up 10% year-over-year.
Microsoft Cloud revenue, which includes services such as Azure, soared 21% year-over-year to $36.8 billion, driving the overall quarterly results. CFO Amy Hood highlighted record bookings in the quarter, signaling sustained growth momentum.
The Productivity and Business Processes segment, including Office and LinkedIn, posted $20.3 billion in revenue, an 11% increase. Office 365 Commercial revenue grew 13%, and LinkedIn revenue rose by 10%.
In the Intelligent Cloud segment, revenue reached $28.5 billion, up 19% from the previous year. Server products and cloud services, particularly Azure, were key growth drivers, with Azure revenue climbing 29%.
Microsoft’s More Personal Computing division, which includes Windows and Xbox, reported $15.9 billion in revenue, a 14% increase.
Xbox content and services revenue saw a significant 61% rise, bolstered by the Activision acquisition.
For the full fiscal year, Microsoft reported $245.1 billion in revenue, a 16% increase from the previous year. The company returned $8.4 billion to shareholders through share repurchases and dividends in Q4.
