Thursday, May 30, 2024 – ChainML, the Web3-based AI research and development company, secured $6.2 million in a seed extension round that concluded last year.
The funding round was led by Hack VC, and several venture capital firms—Foresight Ventures, Inception Capital, HTX Ventures, Figment Capital, Hypersphere Ventures, and Alumni Ventures—have participated. 1
The leading investor in Hack VC, is known for its integration with on-chain and off-chain hackers in creating innovative web3 experiences.
HVC has been overlooking the key areas of information technology, e-commerce, AI, cryptocurrency, and financial technology prior to producing the funds.
It is expected to expand the ChainML employee base by around 25 by June.
Thus, the fund will meet the company requirements of hiring additional professionals related to engineering, research, and go-to market teams in ChainML, according to the source.
The funds secured from the seed extension round would support launching Theoriq, the modular and composable AI agent base layer, designed for autonomous AI agents. 2
The new agentic base layer will leverage the blockchain platform, enabling agent registration, payment, and security.
Theoriq is set to release between June and September, and Mainnet will be released later this year.
